GOOD DAY BALI : "Here we are prepared for you"

DIVING in Tulamben

Just off shore lies the wreck of USAT Liberty wreck. It is Indonesia's most popular dive site, and could well be the most often dived wreck in the world. Tulamben is a bay of striking contrast, of ruggedness, of hydrographic culture, of rich bio diversity and tranquility. At the eastern end of the bay, there is a coral wall that plummets to beyond 60 m. Here is where the fantasies of many divers dwell. Tulamben is ideal for wreck diving, deep diving, underwater photography and night diving.

Tulamben Area, The Liberty Shipwreck

A must for all divers visiting Bali. This location is full with marine live; the wreck is crowded with schools of Jack Fish, hundreds of them and they are so friendly. If you like to see something unusual, sometimes you can find "leaf fish", 3 different types of Garden Ells, Surgeon Fish and Butterfly Fish that will company you through out your dive. The diving is generally easy with minimum current, visibility around 15 m and more. This area is a favorite area for photographers and video graphers. Easy access for people who try scuba diving for the first time and also great for snorkeling. This location is full with marine live; the wreck is crowded with schools of Jack Fish, hundreds of them and they are so friendly. Tulamben Area, The Drop Off

Around 500 m from the Wreck to the east, the underwater wall drops to a depth of 60m, the top of the wall is around 3 to 5 m. Visibility is usually better than at the wreck but sometimes there is a slight current. You will find a school of yellow strip snappe rs at around 18 to 25m. The giant sea fan is just right at the corner of the drop off. The barrel sponges are huge. Practice your observation skill to find the rare " Laureia Siagiani", who lives among the sponges. Sometimes reef sharks cruise along the wall. Hammerhead sharks and Sun fish h ave been spotted several times at greater depth. There is a lagoon that is very calm and normally not subject to heavy surf, a great place to conduct initial training for beginner scuba divers.

Tulamben Area, Batu Klebit

Take a short ride in a traditional "Jukung" to the east of the drop off and don your gear at the surface before descending to around 30 to 40m to see the underwater plateau. The submerge reef in this area may bring you up to 60 m and deeper. It is a great place to encounter the big pelagic such as Tunas, Sharks, Manta Rays and Barracudas. This place is not so popular for beginner divers due to the depth and the limited bottom time. If you are Nitrox (EANx) certified, looking for greater adventure, we will be diving Nitrox or we can also train you to get your EANx certification

Tulamben Area, Between the Drop Off and The Wreck

Sometimes called Paradise Reef, this place is full of surprises, ribbon ells, mimic octopus, boxer crabs, ghost pipefish, harlequin shrimp are among the unusual marine lives found here. Underwater photographers dive here more than 5 times a day and they still find the place so interesting. A generally shallow dive, from 3m down to 15m, although there are some interesting species like " Steene's Dottyback" which lives at 55m.

Night Dives

To fully appreciate the beauty and colours of diving this stunning area a Night Dive is a must. Make sure you bring your camera because with scorpion fish, spanish dancers, ribbon eels, mimic octopus or ghost pipe fish around your sure to capture something special. Night Dives are only available on your dive safaris but it's an experience your not forget.
